Pony Saddle Pads - FAQs

Why choose a LeMieux Pony Saddle Pad?

They share the same technical specifications as our main saddle pads. This includes a 100% bamboo lining, high wither, girth strap locking loops and strengthened girth protection areas.

Plus, we’ve added special little touches, like our signature star print, that little riders are sure to love.

What are LeMieux Pony Saddle Pads made of?

Our pony saddle pads are made from suede, woven satin and cotton. We’ve also added a super-soft, breathable bamboo lining to wick away sweat from your horse’s skin. It’s friction-free, enhancing your horse’s comfort under the saddle.

Which Pony Saddle Pad will suit your pony?

We recommend our mini saddle pads for ponies 11.2hh - 13hh and our junior saddle pads for ponies 13.2hh - 14.2hh.

When is your Pony Saddle Pad fitted correctly?

Your pony saddle pad should fit up and away from your horse’s spine and withers. Once you’ve placed it under the saddle, you should be able to see around 1 to 1.5 inches of the pad at the front and back. If you can fit a couple of fingers underneath the wither and top of the pad, it’s a good fit.

How should you look after your LeMieux Pony Saddle Pad?

Taking care of your pony saddle pad is simple. Our styles are machine washable on a normal 30-degree cycle. Pop it in a wash bag if possible, close all fastenings and ensure your saddle pad fits in the drum.

You can pull your pad into the correct shape whilst damp to maintain shape during drying. Air dry your pad away from a tumble dryer and iron it on low heat. Before washing, check the wash care instructions first.

How long can you use a LeMieux Pony Saddle Pad?

Our LeMieux pony saddle pads may be mini, but they’re just as tough as our larger horse pads. They stand up to wear in areas of high friction and, because they’re so tough, will last several years.

Your little one will eventually grow out of their pony saddle pad. This is when they’ll move onto a larger style.
