Senior Apparel Designer

LeMieux has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Apparel Designer looking for a new challenge in a fast-growing global equestrian company.

 

In this role, you will report to into the Head of Design and be responsible for leading the design and development of your own categories whilst overseeing a small team of designers. Your expertise will contribute to the creative vision of the brand, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, quality and style.

 

Key Responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Lead the design process for assigned categories, from concept to final production.
  • Work hand in hand with the wider design team to share ideas and ensure that collections are cohesive across categories, as well as with buying, merchandising and tech to ensure products are developed in line with our critical path.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment on product vision and goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and fostering a creative and productive environment, whilst driving innovation into the category.
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design direction and innovation.
  • Develop and present design concepts, technical specifications, and prototypes.
  • Oversee the execution of design details, ensuring adherence to brand standards and quality requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to technical, performance wear.

     

    Suitable applicants will display the following skills/experience:

     

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in apparel design, with a focus on technical and performance wear.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing innovative designs and technical proficiency.
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and performance technologies.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A team player
  • Equestrian experience would be an advantage but not essential

    As an Equestrian Product Designer, you will report into the Head of Design and be responsible for your categories from concept right through to production sign off. We are looking for a designer with a strong equestrian background and knowledge. This is the perfect opportunity to combine passion and career, creating innovative products, specifically for the horse, for one of the most exciting Equestrian brands in the world.

     

    We require a team member who is eager to learn and who is able to bring fresh ideas in order to create unique products for horse and rider. This role is ideal for a hardworking and self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities are as follows:
  • Collaborate across departments and teams to develop exceptional products that meet our customers' needs.
  • Own the design process, from conceptualization right through to production sign off, on your given categories.
  • Work to the critical path, ensuring deadlines are met and product is delivered on time.
  • Be commercially minded when designing and bringing product to life.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of design.
  • Create clear and accurate design packs and liaise with factories to ensure correct execution and deadlines are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, or a related field, or industry equivalent experience.
  • Industry experience in equestrian product design
  • Strong equestrian knowledge and background
  • Proven ability to work diligently in a fast-paced environment.

    Executive Assistant / Office Manager

    Executive Assistant / Office Manager Reporting directly into the Managing Director, LeMieux has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant / Office Manager looking for a new challenge in a fast-growing global equestrian company.

     

    We have an ambitious vision and are looking to add to our 200-strong HQ team to achieve it. You’ll be working alongside company Directors and Senior Leadership to achieve excellence in office organisation and management and ultimately, help make LeMieux the most exciting equestrian brand on the planet.

     

    We constantly strive for excellence as a business and see this role as being a vital component in ensuring we create an environment that enables our staff to perform at their best. With brand-new, purpose-built office facilities, it is also important for us that we hold space for our guests to come and immerse themselves in our brand.

     

    Covering a wide range of tasks from guest liaison, to travel booking, this role would be well suited to those who are passionate about organisation, who can multitask and have a meticulous eye for detail.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure a well organised, productive and professional environment.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all office-related enquiries and issues
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory, including the purchasing and management of stock levels
  • Ensure office compliance with H&S policies and procedures • Coordinate office maintenance and repairs through internal and external vendors
  • Manage schedule for external cleaning vendor to ensure a sanitary and safe workspace
  • Host external visitors including the organisation of meetings spaces and provision of food and refreshments
  • Work with external travel agent to organise companywide travel – both UK and overseas
  • Take ownership of company calendar to organise staff meetings, social events, visitors, board meetings etc.
  • Serve as key liaison for senior management and directors
  • Collaborate with HR team on employee experience
  • Actively look to promote a positive and collaborative office environment Suitable applicants will display the following:
  • Degree qualified in Business Management/Business Administration (or industry equivalent experience)
  • Proven background working in large multi-unit office facility
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office suite
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Vendor Management experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work with ability to pivot when required
